Simon Exhibition Cleveland 1926
With thanks to Mr. C. Dudley Brown
The
collection of Mr. C. Dudley Brown was exhibited at the Czech
Center in 2002.
The mother of Mr. Brown was William Ganson Rose's secretary
starting around 1927 or 1928. Rose occasionally gave her
Simon prints as presents. After Mr. Rose died, Mrs. Rose
gave Dudley's mother all 89 Simon prints that were hanging
in his office, which were thereafter displayed in the Brown
home. After Dudley's parents' death, the prints were divided
up between him and his two sisters (and by descent to their
children).
